Our first project was born when a small group of friends threw money in a hat to create a scholarship fund for students of Stann Creek.  We've kept the momentum going through the formation of IFOB, but the sustainability of this initiative depends completely upon increasing the size and strength of this original group of friends.

IFOB remains a member-driven organization, completely run by individuals who volunteer their time and energy to set up programming, fundraising, and all of the logistical aspects of this small nonprofit organization.  Members determine the course of our organization, and our annual membership dues (which start out at at 40 cents per week) are the bulk of our funding.  We have official non-profit status from the IRS, so all donations are tax-deductible.  More importantly, since IFOB is run by volunteers, supporters can donate with the satisfaction of knowing that every cent possible goes directly to supporting IFOB projects.
